It’s been over a fortnight since I last posted and as usual I don’t know where the time has gone!
I don’t know about you but the days are flying by – my youngest son was 18 on Sunday now I really don’t know where those 18 years have gone, what happen to that baby boy, mischievous toddler, schoolboy, grumpy teenager, he has become a handsome (still a bit grumpy!) young man. Whom I’m very proud of despite the challenges life has thrown at him, he’s a happy chap.As you can probably tell I’m feeling rather nostalgic and seem to have become very aware of the passage of time.
We have had some lovely workshops over the fortnight
Chris’ Technique of the Month was ‘Fabric Folding’ – with beautiful results
My Mum Kate went home and made hers into a cushion – what a whizz! it could be because she’s frantically trying to get things together for the ‘Quilts & More’,quilt & crafts show at Bradley on the 1st & 2nd November at St. Mary church &village hall, Bradley.
Last Thursday saw Chris teaching ‘Barjelly’ – it’s the same as barjello but you use 2 1/2″ strip so could use a jelly roll. The results are stunning
Helen B is another super whizz and on Saturday this photo appeared into my e-mail box. All finished ready to layer & quilt, although Helen says it will have to wait until the New Year.
Brilliant – don’t you think?
It’s half term next week and we are holding a ‘Little Stitchers’ class on Wednesday 29th October – we will be making fabric baubles – so if you have anyone 9 years & over who might like to make a bauble there are a few places still left on the class (10-12.30).
I’m off to work out my fancy dress costume for a Children’s TV themed 18th birthday party!
Until next time – Happy Sewing X
