Another week seems to have flown by and although it seems to have been a fairly quiet week, there has still been plenty going on.

The Christmas shopping event was a great night, it was lovely to see so many people and I was right there were lots of talented craft businesses & there with plenty of unusual gift ideas. Thank you to Gnosall Jambusters for inviting me, it must have taken a lot of hard work & organisation but I’m sure it was a great success for all involved.

Faith popped in to the shop to show me a bag she has made…

Faith was one of my ‘Absolute Beginners’ and she has truly caught the bug and has made more projects and improved her skills.

Tracy has been teaching today, with one of her ‘Give it a Go’ days – today was ‘Prick & Stitch’. A technique where you pierce holes in card following a pattern and then stitch a design. The effects are stunning…

It was lovely to have Lucy & Izzy in class too, we love to encourage young crafters and they really enjoyed making their cards.

Tracy has another ‘Give it a Go’ day next Saturday, we’re making baubles that look like fir cones, using folded fabric, there are still a few places left, if you’d like to give it  a try.

Two more ladies started on their ‘Absolute Beginners’ quilts this afternoon, starting with measuring and cutting squares to then sew them together to make a ‘nine-patch’.

It will be interesting to see how their quilts evolve I’m sure you’ll agree.

Until next time,

Happy stitching X
