Saturday saw us celebrating The Corner Patch’s 3rd Birthday and the shop was buzzing. We had a sale, an exhibition of some of the ‘Absolute Beginner’s’ quilts, a raffle and cake.
3 years – doesn’t time fly when your having fun! I feel blessed that I’m able to do what I love. Incredibly pleased that I’m still going (and a little relieved!) I’m so lucky, I have had amazing support from all my customers. Barbara, Chris and Tracy continue to provide fabulous workshops and my family give me loads of encouragement and support. Here’s to many more years.
Thank you to everyone who had a go on the raffle, we raised £80 for The National Autistic Society.
Thank you to all the ladies who let me borrow that fabulous quilts – they looked amazing
thank you to Ashley for the yummy birthday cake, it really was as delicious as it looked (sorry I forgot to take a photo)
There’s been no time to rest on my laurels – I’m off to The West Country Quilt & Textile Show in Bristol on Wednesday, for a 3 day show, starting on Thursday. I’m quite excited if not a little nervous. This will be my first big show, so far from home – I’m really looking forward to it, although I’ve fretted and panicked about what to take and whether I’ve got enough stuff and if it’s the right sort of thing. A new chapter in my life as a fabric retailer and one I’m really excited about.
So after lots of cutting and sorting, the van is loaded and it’s too late now to worry about anything I might have forgotten.
I’ll let you know how we got on.
