I love the beginning of the year, it’s like a blank sheet of paper waiting to be filled with ‘stuff’. None of us really know what the new year will bring, we have some ideas- big birthdays, illnesses to combat, coping with the loss of loved ones, birth of children/grandchildren but anything could happen this year and we can do whatever we wish!
At The Corner Patch our year is pretty much sewn up (excuse the pun!) we have got a full year of classes and workshops organised and thanks to the help of Chris Franses, Barbara Chainey and Tracy James we’ve got a wide variety of ideas to choose from. There’s the Block of the Month, the ‘Roll-over Quilts’, machine quilting and technique workshops with Chris, hand sewing and quilting with Barbara and Pre-cut parties and other smaller patchwork inspired projects with Tracy, something for everyone I think you’ll agree.
We started the ‘Block of the Month’ classes on Saturday (we’ve got classes on two Thursdays too and there’s still a few spaces left) The first block is a ‘Friendship Star’
I was a little bit slow catching Sandra before she left so didn’t get a picture of her block ( I’ll get her next time!) and two of the ladies booked for Saturday were not able to make it due to this pesky flu/cold that’s doing the rounds ( wishing you both well x)
So maybe you’ve made some resolutions for this year – to get some projects finished, use up all those scraps or try something new – whatever they maybe, I wish you a very happy and creative new year – enjoy it and who knows what you’ll achieve.
