Show and Tell

It’s started already, the week has whizzed by (I shall continue to marvel as to how the time flies – I must be having fun!)

After getting over the shock of losing David Bowie at the beginning of the week, I wasn’t a huge fan, but he formed quite a large part of the sound-track of my teenage years and I think it suddenly makes you realise your own mortality when someone who is part of you growing up dies (even if it is only a very small part)

I was soon getting back into the swing of things at the shop and teaching our ‘Absolute Beginners’ classes. I had 3 new ladies start on Wednesday and we got the first few blocks made

Susan’s shabby chic block.

I love it when customers bring in their finished quilts, especially if they have been doing the classes here. It’s great to see finished results…

Marilla’s Nativity Star – all hand sewn and quilted, simply gorgeous

I’m looking forward to seeing more, it’s so inspiring.

Take care and wrap up warm during this cold snap. Just the excuse you need to stay in and do some patchwork & quilting, because I think we’re going to need plenty of quilts to keep us warm, if this cold weather continues, don’t you?

Happy sewing x
